About us

A small teaching studio and course — online, worldwide

Artiframe is a small teaching studio with one stubborn belief: you learn game design by making games, showing them to real players, and being told the truth about what you made.

Why we started

We kept meeting talented people stuck at the edge of the industry — self-taught, full of ideas, but with nothing concrete to show and no one to give them honest feedback. Courses they'd tried were either endless video libraries no one finished, or theory with no build at the end of it. So we built the course we wished those people could take: ten weeks, ten builds, real mentors, a portfolio at the finish line.

Who it's for

Career-switchers coming from another field. Serious hobbyists who've made things in their spare time and want structure. Self-taught juniors who can nearly get an interview but keep hearing "come back when you have more to show." If you're willing to build something small and imperfect every week and let people poke holes in it, you'll fit right in.

What we believe

Feedback should be specific and kind — vague praise helps no one. Small and finished beats big and abandoned. A designer's job is to be understood, so clarity outranks cleverness. And a cohort of eighteen learns faster than a lecture hall of two hundred, because everyone's work gets seen.

How we teach

Every week has one focus, one build and one live critique. Mentors are people still shipping games, not full-time lecturers, and each student keeps the same mentor for all ten weeks. We cap cohorts deliberately so nobody's work slips through unseen.

Where we are

We plan cohorts and record the workshops from a small studio, and the course itself runs online so you can join from anywhere in the world. Say hello at [email protected] or read our field notes to hear how we think.
